Even Though Flowers Bloom

With lethargy lacing my lens,
I opened my eyes
It seems that the irises are in full bloom today
And yet, why do I
feel this terrible feeling in my stomach?

Even if I step foot outside,
all I'm going to be greeted with
are such hateful, hateful eyes
With that in mind, I wear my blindfold

Even though the flowers had bloomed
Everything's still as repulsive as ever
Yes, even though the flowers bloomed
I'll close my eyes, still...

Is it a new day?
Even though I want to say that,
the scenery remains unchanged
It seems that today the peonies have bloomed

Today I'll try to listen
to other people's thoughts
Yet, I was greeted with such repugnant words
And so, and so, I'll plug in my earbuds

The world will still spew out nonsense
